Zoom Car was founded back in the year 2013, by CEO and co-founders Greg Moran and David Black. The company first started its operation in Bangalore, and slowly moved onto the other states of India. Zoom Car was established with just $215,000 or 1.55 crore of Indian Rupees in today's market. It started with just seven cars, and then expanded the fleet afterwards. Zoom Car was also the member of Microsoft Accelerator Plus program, as of 2014 in Bangalore. It will help startups in later stages to raise capital and scale up. In 2015, Zoom Car entered into a controversy with the Advertising Standards Council of India, where almost 54 advertisements of Zoom Car were banned, as they violated the Dowry Prohibition Act of India.
