About TSRTC
Telangana State Road Transport Corporation or commonly known as Tsrtc is state-run bus service in the Telangana state of India. This state-run corporation was formed when Andhra Pradesh was separated from Telangana. There are many states linked with this bus service, including Goa, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Chattisgarh, etcetera. The corporation serves about 89.4 lac passengers on a daily basis. The corporation runs along three-zone segregation and has about 96 depots that operate on a regular basis as well. The current transport minister of the corporation is P. Mahendra Reddy. Also, the current chairman is S. Satyanarayana. The total number of employees currently working at the corporation is more than 57,000, as of the year 2015.

Tsrtc was established in the year 2014. This was when the existing transport corporation of Andhra Pradesh was separated from the state of Telangana, and thus a separate Telangana Transport Corporation was formed. The corporation has been operational for four years now. The first road transport system was established in the year 1932. The corporation then had about 27 buses and about 166 employees. The Andhra Pradesh State Road Corporation was found in the year 1950, and after Telangana, as a state was separated from Andhra Pradesh, the transport corporation was also segregated, as from effect, the 3rd June, the year 2015, and therefore Tsrtc was formed. Tsrtc was finally established with the help of the Government of Telangana, on the date 27th of April, the year 2016. The corporation was organized under the Road Transport Act, which was introduced in the year 1950.
