Tikona Infinet Limited, or commonly known as Tikona, is a wireless broadband and internet service provider. The headquarters of the company is based in Mumbai. The Ministry Of Communication of India has granted Tikona an All-India Class A Internet Service Provider license. Currently, Tikona is operating in around 25 cities all around India. As of 2018, the most equity of the company is held by Goldman Sachs, which is approximately 40 percent of the company. Tikona Trust, which is led by Prakash Bajpai holds about 26 percent of the company. History
Tikona was founded in the year 2008. The founder and also the current CEO is Prakash Bajpai. The company also acquired HCL Infinet from HCL Infosystems and therefore helped the company's data systems to grow. It was after that acquisition that the name was changed from Tikona to Tikona Infinet Systems. In the year 2017, Bharti Airtel had acquired the total wireless broadband service of Tikona. In the year 2014, the company also received approval from the Foreign Investment Promotion Board, in order raises 2.48 billion.
