History
SpiceJet was founded in the year 1994. It started as an air taxi provider, known as ModiLuft. Then in 2004, the company was acquired by an India entrepreneur known as Ajay Singh. In that same year, the name was changed to SpiceJet. SpiceJet operated its first flight in 2005. The fleet size of the company is 59 aircraft. It has a combination of Boeing 737 and as well as Bombardier Dash type of aircraft as well.
