The organisation also provides cargo transport services as well. The long-distance travels offered by the company is in excess of 300 KM.

State Express Transport Corporation (Tamil Nadu) was founded in the year 1997. The company has been operational for more than 20 years now. But, the actual long-distance bus operations started way back in the year 1975, under the name of Pallavan Transport Corporation. In the year, the company’s name was changed to Thiruvalluvar Transport Corporation. In the year 1997, the organisation was finally merged with SETC. The organisation also provides 60-days advance booking for long-distance journeys.
