In the year 2005, the company acquired Matrix Semiconductor, and again in 2006, it acquired M-Systems. In the year 2011, the company purchased an SSD manufacturing plant for almost $327 million. In the year 2014, the company had acquired Fusion-io, which is the manufacturer of flash memories, for nearly $1.1 billion. Finally, in the year 2017, the company was acquired by Western Digital, for almost $19 billion. Also, in the year 2014, one of the founders of the company, Eli Harari received the honorary award of National Medal from the American President Barack Obama, for his innovation in the field of technology.
