About PTE
Pearson Language Tests or commonly known as PTE, is a test of the English Language subject, mainly for all the non-native users, so that their expertise in the particular subject can be validated and accessed as well. The headquarters of the company is based in London, United Kingdom. The company that holds the rights to these PTE exams is the Pearson PLC Group. There are many types of tests that a user can take up, be it an academic test, or general test or just a test for the young learner. The company and the exams are also administered by Edexcel, which is the most substantial examining body worldwide.

Pearson Language Tests was first introduced in the year 1982. Both the General and Young Learners test were presented in the same year as well. The tests were developed by the University of London. In the year 1996, Edexcel, which was the world-renowned examining body, qualified the PTE tests. Currently, the PTE tests are recognised by over 6000 organisations all over the world. In the year 2009, the PTE Academic test feature was launched.
