Oriental Bank of Commerce History

​OBC was founded in the year 1943. The bank has been operational for 75 years now. The bank was first established in the city of Lahore, which was a part of United India, along with Pakistan. Due to the partition of India, the bank office was moved away from Lahore to Amritsar. During the year 1970 to 1976 proved to be the most challenging times for the organization. During that time, the profit even fell to just 175 INR. In the year 2010, the bank had crossed 2 lac crore INR of business revenue.
