​Nykaa History

Nykaa was founded back in the year 2012, by founder Falguni Nayar. The headquarters are based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. When it opened its online store in 2012, it also opened its physical store in the year 2015 as well, at the T3 Terminal of Indira Gandhi International Airport. Ms. Falguni Nayar was an ex-MD of Kotak Mahindra Capital Company. In the year 2014, Nykaa got total funding of 20 crores from various private investors and then raised around 60 crores in 2015 funding lead by TVS Capital. The last round of funding made by Nykaa raised 104.3 crore INR, and thereby Max-Ventures and Industries obtained a 2 percent stake in the company. Nykaa has the catalog of 850+ brands and 35,000+ products. Its current target audience is between the age group of 22 to 35.  In 2015, Nykaa launched their privately labeled products. In both the years of 2015 and 2016, Nykaa collaborated with Femina to host the Beauty Awards.
