    National Insurance History

    National Insurance was founded in the year 1906. The company was nationalised in the year 1972. The company is currently a subsidiary of its parent company, General Insurance Corporation of India. In the year 2002, National Insurance was spun-off as a subsidiary. The organisation also signed an agreement with the Nainital Bank, in the year 2004. This was done to pave the way for a collaboration, where the bank would be able to sell the National Insurance’s policies under their three specific bank branches in New Delhi, Haryana and Uttarakhand.
