Mahanagar History

Mahanagar Gas Limited was founded in the year 1995. The company has been operational for more than 20 years now. The company is currently an enterprise of GAIL India, the Government of Maharashtra, and also Royal Dutch Shell. GAIL owns majority of the shares, at almost 33 per cent. As of today, the company has provided ten lac thousand households with LPG connections. The company also provides CNG to vehicles as well, to more than 6.5 lac vehicles in India. The company has more than 220 CNG stations and 470 LM of petroleum pipelines.
