L&T Finance History

L&T Capital Holdings was founded in the year 2008. The name was changed to L&T Finance Holdings in the year 2010, and the same was approved by the Registrar of Companies of the 6th of Septemeber, 2010. The company first started offering lease and hire solutions for purchase, to small and medium-sized enterprises. Then the company began financing agricultural equipment, and the company received its certificate from the Reserve Bank of India, in the year 2007. Thus the company was initially being marked as a non-banking financial company from the year 2008 only. In the year 2011, the company makes its foray into long-term infrastructure bonds, and also housing finance as well. As of the year 2014, the company decided a dividend of 0.75 INR per equity share to all shareholders.
