Lakshmi Vilas Bank was founded in the year 1926. The bank has been more than 92 years old now. The headquarters of the bank is situated in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The bank got its banking license from the Reserve Bank of India, in the year 1958. During the year 1961-1965, the bank started expanding its operations countrywide. From the year 1974, the bank began expanding beyond the state of Tamil Nadu, to other states fo India. The bank also implemented CBS or Core Banking System in the year 2006. The bank has about 523 branches and 984 ATMs all over the country, as of the year 2018.
