Karnataka Bank History

Karnataka Bank Limited was founded in the year 1924. The bank has been operational for 94 years. In 2000, Karnataka Bank teamed up with Infosys, to create a CBS or Core Banking Software, known as Finacle. As of 2004, almost 221 branches were opened all over the country. In 2008, Sun Microsystems and NDTV awarded the bank for the various Green Policies adopted - like using of solar power for its operations. In the year 2010-11, the bank was awarded for its IT risk management. In 2002, Karnataka Bank made a pact with Corporation Bank for sharing its ATMs. Also, in 2003, the head office of the bank was shifted from Kodialbail to Kankanady.
