Jabong History
Jabong was established by Arun Chandra Mohan, Lakshmi Potluri, Manu Jain and Praveen Sinha and began its operations in India in 2011. However, all the co-founders have at the moment left the company following the major acquisition by Flipkart. Jabong headquarter is in Gurgaon, NCR in India. It is notable that Jabong was acquired by Flipkart through its Myntra unit in 2016 July for $70 million.
In about 2012, the company was making great financial progress and having a wide clientele base. In fact, Jabong was then delivering over 6000 orders on a daily basis with a gross sale of about $100-$150 million. This upwards progress was also evident as at 2016 where the gross revenue was 32.6 million euros during the first quarter while in 2015 first quarter the revenue was 28.6 million euros. As of 2017, with its partnership for Dorothy Perkins, Jabong was considered the third largest global e-commerce.
