ixigo was founded in the year 2006. The founders of the company are Aloke Bajpai and Rajnish Kumar. Akoke is the current CEO of the company, while Rajnish is the current CTO of the company. The company started operating in the year 2007, with the main launch of its flight services. In 2008, the company received its first round of investments from a Singaporean company, BAF Spectrum. In the year 2011, the company received an investment of $18.5 million from both MakeMy Trip and SAIF Partners. Then on, a deal was reproduced between the three. In the year 2015, Indian smartphone maker Micromax also invested in the company as well. In the year 2017, Ixigo received another set of investment of $15 million, by Fosun RZ Capital and Sequoia Capital India. Sequoia Capital is a Venture Capital firm.
