About IGL
IGL or Indraprastha Gas Limited in one of the most popular companies in India known for their distribution of natural gas. This includes both PNG or Piped Natural Gas and CNG or Compressed Natural Gas. The company has its headquarters in New Delhi, Delhi, India. The current Managing Director of the company is Sh. E S Ranganathan. As of the year 2017, and in month December, IGL has been currently supplying PNG to almost 900,000 residential houses. The commercial numbers are practically 2000+ and to over 1150 industrial establishments as well. The company also has about 425 stations for the purpose of filling up CNG vehicles. The primary source by which IGL gets its natural gas is HVJ Gas Pipeline of GAIL. The company operates on two main objectives of its own - one being able to give consumers reliable and safer way of natural gas. And another being providing a cleaner source of fuel as well.

IGL History
The company IGL was founded in the year 1988. The corporation then took over the Delhi City Gas Distribution Project, from another company known as GAIL. This was done in order to establish a pipeline of natural gas around and in Delhi. Therefore, the joint venture between IGL and GAIL took place, along with Bharat Petroleum and the Delhi Government. In the year 2003, the company had gone from a private limited company to a public limited company. The company was listed on both Bombay and National Stock Exchange.
