Hathway was established in 1993 by BITV Cable Networks which was acquired by Hathway Cable and Datacom Ltd. in 1999. In early 2000, it was known for providing internet connection. In fact, Hathway was cited as the first company to distribute internet using CATV network in India. In 2006, Hathway became the first company to launch digital platforms in India. Currently, it supplies HD services to many of its customers as well as set-top-boxes.
