GTPL was founded in the year 2006. The headquarters were based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The name was changed to GTPL Hathway in the year 2013. The Registrar of Companies had issued a new incorporation certificate in this matter. In 2016, the private limited company was then changed to a public limited company, and the shares of the company were listed on the BSE or Bombay Stock Exchange. In the year 2011, the company expanded its services into Assam, West Bengal, and Kolkata. In 2013, it ventured into Patna and Andhra Pradesh. For three successive years - 2015, 2016 and 2017, the company had got the BCS Ratna Award for being the emerging MSO in the west and nationally.
