Freecharge History

The establishment of Free Charge dates to 2010. It was founded by Sandeep Tandon and Kunal Shah in 2010. By two years in business, Free Charge suggested that they were doing recharge worth INR 6 million on a daily basis. By 2011, Free Charge was doing great and was regarded as the most promising startup of the year. However, the company was acquired by another bigger e-commerce named Snap deal. In 2017, Snap Deal made it clear that Jason Kothari will be the new CEO of Free Charge. On July 27, 2017, Axis bank bought Free Charge for $60 million.
