Domino's History
The Domino's Restuarant Chain was founded in the year 1960. In 1963, a small pizza restaurant known as Dominick's was taken over James Monaghan and Tom Monaghan. In 1965, two additional pizzerias were taken over, to expand the business. The business was renamed in the same year, to Domino's Pizza Inc. The first franchise location was unveiled in 1967, and by 1978 there were almost 200 Domino's stores. In 1983, Domino's opened its first store in Canada. By 2014, the company had nearly 6000 international locations. In 2016 February, the company opened its 1000th store in India.
