Croma was founded in the year 2006. It is Infiniti Retail, which is a 100 per cent subsidiary of Tata Sons, runs the Croma retail chain of stores. In the year 2012, Infiniti Retail had acquired the whole business of Woolworths for about 35 million Australian Dollars, or simple 200 crore INR. Croma was the first of its kind retail store in India, selling various types of electronic goods, where users could very much call it as tech heaven. With the help of this retail chain, Croma's main aim was to help the customer make the best purchase decisions while buying electronic gadgets. In the year 2008, Croma launched its brand of products as well, know as the Croma product line. In the year 2018, the company opened its first premium format store, known as Gadget of Desire, where it will be introducing new and innovative types of electronic products.
