​TransUnion Cibil Limited or Cibil was founded in the year 2000. The company has been operational for 18 years now. The current managing director of the company is Satish Patil and the current chairman of the company being M.V. Nair. After its incorporation, in the year 2004, the services for credit bureau was launched in India. In the year 2006, operations for commercial bureau was commenced. From the year 2011, the Cibil credit score was made available to the general public. In the year 2016, the company TransUnion acquired about 82 per cent stake in Cibil, and the company’s name was changed to TransUnion Cibil. As of the year 2017, the total value of the company is $592 million.
