​Billdesk was founded in the year 2000. The founders of the company are Ajay Kaushal, M.N. Srinivasu and Karthik Ganapathy. The three founders had previously worked at Arthur Andersen LLP, which was an accounting firm based in America. In the year 2001, the company had received its first investment from the Bank of Baroda. In the year 2006, the company had received an investment of $7.5 million. Then in the year 2015, the company had received an investment of $200 million. Due to this investment, the total valuation of the company crossed $1 billion. TA Associates, which is an US-based firm, also made an investment in the company, for an undisclosed amount.
