The company provides internet service via fiber optics, known as ACT Fibernet, and cable TV service under the ACT Digital service. It has its service in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. As of 2016, the company is the 12th largest internet service provider in India. In 2017, ACT was the 3rd largest broadband provider in India. It has 1.22 million subscribers in India, as of 2017. The total revenue of the company is about $70 million, as of 2013-14. History
Beam or currently known as ACT was founded in the year 2000. The company has been operational for 18 years. The name of the founder is Sunder Raju. In 2008, India Value Fund Advisors, which is a private firm, acquired a considerable stake in the company. In 2009, the company was acquired by ACT Limited. As of 2014, ACT had almost 80 percent stake in the company. In 2015, Beam Telecom was merged with ACT Limited. In that same year, ACT Limited announced 100 Mbps plans.
