History
The Bajaj Group was founded in the year 1926. The Group has been operational for 92 years now. The founder was Jamnalal Bajaj. Kamalnayan Bajaj, who was the son of Jamnalal, returned to India after completing his studies at the University Of Cambridge. He helped the company to branch into automobiles, two-wheelers, and also electricals as well. In 1854, he took over the entire management of the group. After his death, the younger son of Jamnalal, known as Ramakrishna Bajaj took over the reigns. The current Chairman and Managing Director of the Bajaj Group are Rahul Bajaj. After completing his studies at Harvard University, USA, he took control over the Bajaj Group as well, in 1965. In 2017, Rahul Bajaj got a Lifetime Achievement Award from the President of India.
